The music video for a cover version of "Antes que el mundo se acabe" (Before the world ends) sees members of the Latin American Student Association at SIU (LASA), integrated by international students from different parts of Latin America and beyond, reflecting on personal experiences amidst lockdown and isolation throughout the past year. The song was written by Puerto Rican performer René Pérez (Residente). The cover track was produced by Daniel Rodríguez and performed by José Burgos.
The International Talent Show in Southern Illinois University has become a long-standing tradition with a history of more than 50 years, in which international students from all over the globe take the stage to perform musical numbers representing their communities of origin. Wesley Foundation: Who we are
Camera, Edit
Wesley at SIUC is a faith community aimed for college students. Wesley's mission is to provide students with an open space to explore their faith and to learn about what it means to be in a relationship with God and others through Jesus Christ.
"Wesley Foundation. Who we are" follows students who meet, study, talk with the campus minister, raid the kitchen's leftovers, or pray in the chapel. The video explores the wide variety of services and backgrounds of students that participate in Wesley activities, all with one goal in common: to equip students for life-long Christian service. Mississippi. An anthropocene River. Field station 4: Confluence Ecologies
Camera, Edit
Confluence Ecologies: An Anthropocene River gathers the voices of a group of artists, activists and scholars during the Southern Illinois chapter of the Anthropocene River Journey, a collective effort of multidisciplinary activities around the Mississippi, investigating its role as a particularly heterogeneous space with a unique intersection of historical, natural and cultural traces through both real and mythic America.
DEEP TIME CHICAGO is an art/research/activism initiative formed in the wake of the Anthropocene Curriculum program at HKW in Berlin, Germany. The initiative’s goal is to explore one core idea: humanity as a geological agency, capable of disrupting the earth system and inscribing present modes of existence into deep time. You can take a look at the complete project here.

DIALOGUES IN THE HEART OF APPALACHIA
The Fulbright Program and Amizade
In the last four years, the U.S. Department of State sponsored a group of Fulbright Students to participate in a week-long service-learning program led by Amizade in Williamson, West Virginia. The 2019 edition saw a group of 12 international students joining Amizade in a unique service-learning immersion into the Appalachian culture while serving and learning with the Williamson Health and Wellness Center. Both scholars and community ambassadors shared moments of reflection about common concerns, as well as mutual particularities found throughout their staying in Williamson.
The Heart of Appalachia is a storytelling project by Amizade, in partnership with the Williamson Health and Wellness Center, with voices from participants from The Fulbright Program.
